Wind, Rain, Sun….No changes in the superb fishing!

We have had a mixed bag of weather this past week and normally a wild weather pattern can really jostle the fishing, but not this year. The fishing or should I say walleye “catching” remains strong.

Talked to Guide Dan yesterday and he had a nice cooler of eighteen walleyes by 11am and threw back a thirty and thirty-one inch walleye too. Not bad for a windy morning!

The fishing has been best around Hay, Little Oak and Garden Island in about thirty feet of water. The rock reefs also have been producing some nice action too. Bait fishing using spinners or jigs tipped with a minnow has been the main attraction lately.

Looks like we are headed into September already next week! Wow, where does the time go. Some of the most prized fishing months are soon upon us, September and October.  Come on up and get in on some pole bending action as the weather starts to cool.
