Fall Transition

We are starting to see the walleyes move into the rock and mud into twenty-six to twenty-eight feet of water as we start to transition into fall. Reports of some nice twenty-five to twenty-eight inch walleyes have been talked about lately too. A limit of walleyes is not hard to come by nor has it all summer. Jigging with a minnow is all you need to find a nice school of walleyes around Oak Island this fall.

Slab Crappies

Due to the cooler than normal temperatures the crappie bite is starting earlier than normal this year.  Reports of a few have just started to bite; cooler temperatures in the upcoming two weeks will really get them hungry.
