Fall is in the air!  We have dipped down into the lower 40’s in the mornings this week and the water has started to cool down.  The current water temperature is 68 degrees, down a degree a day in the last 5 days. Daytime highs for the week are still real nice, highs in the 60’s and 70’s.

Walleyes
The best fishing has been found trolling with crankbaits 28-31 feet of water or bait fishing with jigs and spinners tipped with worms or minnows just outside Graceton Beach, Pine Island and in the northern areas of Big Traverse. It won’t be too long and the walleyes will start transitioning into their fall haunts just outside of the Lighthouse Gap and the Rainy River. The fall emerald shiner run is right around the corner too!
