Warm Weather, Hot Fishing!
The nice temps this past week sure helped coax the walleyes to bite! Our guides have been alternating between jigging with frozen shiners and drifting with spinners tipped with night crawlers. Many 15”-16” walleyes have been found in 23’ of water were the water temp is hovering around 61 degrees. Guide Dan reminds guests this week to wine and dine the fish (let them nibble and then set the hook)! Pro tip of the week – Be sure to dress for the weather!

Great Bite Continues!
The walleyes have been hungry. The best spots have been 16’-25’ using a jig and a minnow or drifting with spinners and a crawler. Sand and rocky points have been the best spots. Water temperature is about 60 degrees.
Bass & Pike
Some good smallmouth bass and pike fishing have been had by anglers as well this week. They have found the best results casting with spinner baits in shallow less than 15’
Muskie Fishing opens this weekend
Ontario and Minnesota opens Saturday! We have thousands of bays to explore and hunt for this fighter. The guides are getting excited to start the hunt, give us a call and book in your trip, mid July thru October is the best time of the year!
