Brrr…38 degrees this morning!
It may be brisk, but if you are looking for a good time to do some good catching, now is a great time.  The fish are on the move!  We have been warming up to the upper 50’s and lower 60’s during the day so don’t worry, we still won’t see any ice start to from for another 6-8 weeks, just good fishing.

Slab Crappies are hitting….
Nice sized slab crappies have been brought in this week. Fall is the best time to find these tasty fish in our area and now is the time. They cooler water temperatures really get them active.

Walleyes
The walleyes have been moving off their summer spots and have been recently found in 26′-28′ on the edges of reefs recently.  Vertical jigging with gold, pink or orange jigs has been successful tipped with a minnow.  Spots around Massacre Island, Tug Channel and Soldier’s Point have been the most successful fishing spots this week.

Muskies…Northerns…Bass
Three big muskies 45”-55” and two big northerns were caught this week by a few guests that were out with guide, Chuck Leach this week. The smallmouth bass fishing continues to be consistent in the weedy beds around Falcon and Oak Island.
